The Year Without You (She holds my hand)

Hello, folks. Chapbook #3 was released yesterday, May 29, 2009. It is, as I write on the back cover, "The story of a heartbreak in 30 days." The poems were all written in the thirty days following the breakup of an engagement ten years ago; the last poem falls on May 29, 1999. It's really sad. I was lucky enough to have a number of friends and family contribute art and photography to the project, and their own feedback and ideas. The letting go involved in releasing total creative control and bringing other people in was a reflection of the letting go that happened in the context of the relationship, and kind of a picture of the beauty that results from that. I do plan on putting up samples of this book and the other two (seeing as the previous links for the poems are valid no more). Just trying to figure out the best way to do it. :) In the meantime, if you want one of the books, they're $15, and you can either catch me around town, or send me a check with an extra $2.50 tacked on for shipping!

Land of My Love / Israel Trip

Thanks so much everyone, for helping me reach my goals! I sold 140 books and was able to pay for the whole trip by the end of March with the profits plus my tax returns & vacation pay for the year, and took the trip in early March.
